“i wrote this song while listening to a lot of philly’s kinda mystical songwriter *sandcastle*, specifically digging their four-on-the-floor uptuned kick sound and the lo-fi vibes they do amazingly.” explains kevin.

kmt goes on to say the chorus is inspired by a 00s wolf parade track where the chorus goes “you are a runner…”. “i had a week years ago sitting in my old south philly apt alone and listening to that song on repeat while really stoned. funny that the idea then bubbled up much later.”

sure, creative processes have no timeline. but we are all still running out of time, aren't we? on this track kevin sings to the fact we need to get moving. and that fast floor on the floor tempo below blasted casiochord might be one way to get you going.
